I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that on the 24th instant another District Inspector in the Sanitary Department named J. R. Lee was brought before the Executive Council on certain charges; that the Executive Council unanimously advised that he should be suspended from the exercise of his office and be recommended to Your Lordship for dismissal from the public service, being granted in the meantime an alimentary allowance of $50 a month. In this advice I concur and submit the decision for Your Lordship's approval and confirmation.

Copies of the transcription of the shorthand notes of the proceedings in Council; of the Colonial Secretary's letter of the 14th of December setting out the charges against Mr. Lee; of his undated reply received on the 20th of December and of two subsequent letters from Colonial Secretary dated the 21st and 27th of December informing
